Hey guys, I have a fun little shoot out today for you between two different microphones for recording an electric guitar. I’m gonna be using a Ribbon microphone vs. a Sure SM 57 with rhythm, clean and lead guitar tracks so you can hear the difference. Then, I want to show you how I ended up mixing these tracks to sound best. The 57 is a dynamic microphone. The Ribbon microphone actually has a ribbon inside of it that vibrates to pick up the sound.
